Jessica Thompson’s debut novel, This is a Love Story, received brilliant reviews on publication: ‘Thompson’s first novel is a triumph… What I really enjoyed was the way Thompson conveys the whole world of young, single London, the clothes, the music, the furnishings and the central, abiding love of the great city itself, full of excitement and potential. I had high expectations for this book as the author's first book won me over and has been a book I have been recommending throughout the year. the book gets off to a gripping start, I was in shock and emotional already just from these first chapters! A very moving story about love, loss and heartache. ****
This is a beautifully-written masterpiece by Jessica. It has the power to make you think twice about what you're doing and look back and reminisce on the moments you've gone through and cherish them. A poignant tale which would reder you speechless at parts as it is deeply moving. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Lisa Jewell.
Beautifully written...Heartbreaking from the start, Three Little Words is an emotional book about forgiveness and discovering your way in life. A captivating read.
I cannot tell you how wonderful I thought this novel was, and it certainly is one that will make its way to my 'Keepers' shelf to be enjoyed again. A fantastic, emotional and heart-wrenching read that will draw you in long after the final page has been turned. Simply brilliant.
