"This novel is kooky but great fun. Strachan has a talent for inventing larger-than-life characters with intriguing idiosyncrasies, which stops her novels becoming predictable chick-lit."
"Strachan now on her fourth novel is a genuinely funny writer and packs the book with good one-liners. The feel-good ending might be improbable, but anyone who has ever been unlucky in love would be rooting for nothing less for Billie.

'Fresh, funny and full of romance'
"A most enjoyable makeover romance, with thoroughly believable villages sorts. Billie Baskerville is a kind of Bridget Jones character who can't help meddling in other people's lives until she gets the result she wants. A lovely, easy read."
